Dvdcorner.net has reviews of “Cinematic Titanic- Santa Claus Conquers The Martians” and “The Best Of Rifftrax Shorts Volume 1.” Also, the MST3K 20th Anniversary set, all of the Cinematic Titanic discs and the Rifftrax Shorts discs made one of the reviewer’s best discs of 2008 list.
At their booth at the most recent Comic-Con, Shout! Factory was selling a limited edition MST3K 20th Anniversary t-shirt. A small supply of unsold Medium, Large, and Extra Large shirts have made their way out of storage and are now available at the Shout! Factory Store for $25 each (plus S&H). If you want one, you’d better hurry. Only 400 were made, and once the remaining shirts are gone, they’re gone for good! Well, it’s cyber Monday and here’s a little shameless commercialism in the spirit of the season.
Topping the list is, “A Short 2009,” our annual calendar featuring memorable moments from those wonderful (and thankfully public domain) shorts. We’ve selected the nine phrases we thought were most likely to sell from this weekend’s discussion thread, and we’ve added them to the cheap white T-shirt store, the somewhat pricier dark T-shirt store and to the even pricier “lady shirt” store. And finally, we’ve got a new section: shirts with 11, count ’em, 11 Christmas-flavored catchphrases, and they come in both standard and lady-shaped versions. They’re available in several colors and, as we have been doing with all our T-shirts, they’re just $2 over the base price. And, finally, if you just want to give us a gift, and not get anything in return but our thanks, please remember the Amazon tip jar in the left-side navigation bar. Also, we would be remiss if we didn’t mention three other great places to get items for yourself, or for that MSTie in your life. Have at it! There’s a review of the latest Cinematic Titanic release at Pop Matters. Also, there’s a general piece on CT at ScreenRant.
First of all, thanks very much to everybody who has purchased one or more Catchphrase shirts. We hope you like them.
I thought some readers might be interested in which of our catchphrase shirts have sold the best. Here are the results: If you haven’t got the one you want yet, they’re still available! And for this week’s discussion thread, I have two questions: 1. Are there any phrases that aren’t there, but that you would buy if they WERE there? and, |
