 Larry Storch, the manic comic actor who starred as the bumbling sidekick Cpl. Randolph Agarn on the 1960s ABC sitcom “F Troop” has died. He was 99.
The Hollywood Reporter has the story. MSTies will recall that he was mentioned in a host segment in episode 610- THE VIOLENT YEARS. Thanks to Tim for the heads up.  TOKYO — Special effects director Teruyoshi Nakano died here June 27. He was 86.
MSTies may know that he was director of special of effects for the movie in episode 212- GODZILLA VS. MEGALON and assistant director of special effects for the movie in the movie in episode 213- GODZILLA VS. THE SEA MONSTER. This really hasn’t come across the Pacific, but dedicated sleuth Tim spotted this news item.  Santa Monica, Calif. — Prolific character actor Joe Turkel, well known for his roles in “The Shining” and “Blade Runner,” died at a hospital here June 27. He was 94.
MSTies will remember that he played Nick in the movie in episode 414- TORMENTED and the sheriff in episode 523- VILLAGE OF THE GIANTS. Thanks to Paul, Tim and Gordon for the headses ups. As you are probably aware, we’ve been experiencing spotty outages. Our internet host has been doing server maintenance, and they claimed that it would only cause momentary disruptions.
Yeah right. Keep trying and you will get in eventually… …sorry for the inconvenience.  TOKYO — prolific score composer Michiaki “Chumei” Watanabe died at a hospital here on June 23. He was 96.Among the hundreds of scores he penned was the one for the movie in episode 819- INVASION OF THE NEPTUNE MEN. Thanks to Gordon for the heads up. |
