A Blip.tv show called “Radio Dead Air” interviewed Mike.

I’m not sure what channel this is, or what town the news show is in, but they did a short news item about RiffTrax. And on their web site, they posted a long video interview with Mike. Here it is in two parts.

And on Saturday night, Josh co-hosted an internet radio show called “The Crystal Telephone with Rotary Rachel.” The show is mostly music and an interview with actor/musician Michael Des Barres takes up most of the non-music time, but there’s a bit of Cinematic Titanic talk with Josh. Here’s hour one. Here’s hour two. Here’s hour three.

Cool to see Rifftrax on the news, but the anchor does a really poor job with it. Oh well, I guess I’d read the script poorly if I was (happily) distracted by Rifftrax/MST clips.

The Rifftrax item is from WOOD-TV (an NBC affiliate) in Grand Rapids, MI.

Good Ol’ Michael DesBarres – he played the frontman for the punk band “Scum of the Earth” on the WKRP show where the band arrive to do an on-air interview and then refuse to talk. After a violent brawl among the band and DJs, they cheerfully submit to the radio show. Real life wasn’t much different, Des Barres hung out with Led Zeppelin and other brit rockers of the time.

So if this Rotary Rachel thing is very little Josh, does anyone know (timestamp-wise) where the Josh stuff is? I don’t have the time to listen to stuff I’m not interested in.

The thing I remember most about Michael DesBarres is he pulled a Greg Lake and fronted Power Station after Robert Palmer left to make videos with the Femm-Bots.
