Update: Cinematic Titanic Pre-Show Press

Michelle Denise Norton has a piece, including fresh quotes from Joel, ahead of next weekend’s show in York, Pa. (It’s kind of in the middle of the state, south of Harrisburg.)

The Strand is running a contest where the winners can attend a meet-and-greet with the cast. If you’re going, enter the contest here.

Chris Mautner of The Patriot News has a nice interview with Joel.

Andre Lamar of CommunityPub.com also has an interview with Joel, ahead of Saturday’s show in Wilmington, Del.

Update: Sean O’Sullivan of the Wilmington News Journal has a piece ahead of tonight’s show in Wilmington.

I’m going to that show! I can’t wait! I’m assuming they do signings afterwards. Do I need to purchase DVDs there? What’s the protocol for that?

When I saw them in Dallas in 09,they had dvd’s,posters and a cast photo for sale, which they sell on their website. They do a meet and greet after the show, but don’t hold up the line like I did when I talked to J.Elvis a little too long.I would take a little extra money(believe they take credit cards,if I’m not mistaken)with you, just in case..Have a great time and be sure to leave a message on here on how the night went,ok?

Hopefully my friend and I will make it to this show as well. I have already purchased all of the CT DVDs so hopefully protocol is satisfied.

They will sign anything, but don’t bring a ton of stuff and hold up the line. I’ve had all kinds of stuff signed but my rule is no more than two things. Older DVD sets or fan club stuff is cool, people have had some of their ticket stubs signed, why the last time we saw them a young friend of ours had his arm signed. Here’s a tip if you have a few things you want signed and you go with people that don’t have things to sign have them take something. My favorite thing I had signed is my Gypsy purple lunch box, I would love to get Mike, Kevin, Bill, and Jim to sign it. If that happens I will get a glass case for it with laser alarm, I’m sure my wife will love that….

Here is my list of stuff I have to be signed or have seen other people get signed.
    1. CT DVDS/ MST DVDS OR VIDEO TAPES
    2. Traces book Silly Rhymes For Belligerent Children ( got mine at the show )
    3. Geek of the Week card ( sold at the show )
    4. Mary Jo’s new book Employee of the Month and Other Big Deals ( don’t know if it’ll be at show )
    5. Freaks And Geeks DVD set. ( J.ELVIS, TRACE, JOEL, and if he’s there DAVE (GRUBER) ALLEN )
    6. MST3K Membership Card (I’ve made up copies on heavy stock Forrester Green paper that I give to people at shows.)
    7. Turkey Day Postcard From Comedy Central with picture of Joel and the Bots on front and show line up on back.
    8. Copies of Satellite News from 1992-1995 that I saved.
    9. MST3K opening song lyrics on one side MST3K Movie Library on the other. These are cool because over the years they have different lyrics and different seasons of shows. The one I have has The Evil Dr. Forrester ( no Frank) hatching a nasty scheme- and a temp by the name of Mike. And the movies go from 101-The Crawling Eye to 704-The Melting Man.
I’ve seen on E-BAY a list of all the movies that would look nice signed and framed. And last but not least check out MST3K.COM for T-Shirts, postcards or posters, bumper stickers and other cool stuff to have signed.
Sorry this is so long I’m still home from work sick and lonely ’till my wife gets home…..

Between a Film Crew signing at SDCC and a post-Cinematic Titanic signing I have everyone’s autograph in my episode guide. Except Joel. And Paul.

Does anyone know when we can expect the next CT release? I was hoping that once War of The Insects came out, it would be the first of several new releases. I was fortunate enough to see them do Rattlers when they were in Milwaukee last year and hoped that title would be out on DVD soon…

@9 Ms.Terri Zyenz..A friend of mine saw them late last year and she asked Joel about when RATTLERS will be released on dvd and he said January. That could change because I think(hopefully I’m wrong)it might be released in February.I hope,I hope..

In #5 I forgot to put Paul’s name on the list to sign my Gypsy purple lunch box.
When I got it signed at the CT show last year in N.H. a girl in line saw it and was like ” Where did you get that? ” Oh these young kids today, with their Hula Hoops and Fax Machines, and the 8-Tracks and Hot Pockets with the BIG pants and the backwards hats and Halter tops and driving their vans with the left arm tans…..

Thanks for the info, Gary. Was hoping we’d see “Rattlers” released for X-mas, but getting DVD’s out is clearly a low priority for the CT crew. :(

  16. Gary Bowden says:

@14 Max Keller..You’re welcome for the info,Max.I believe lack of money is the reason why they don’t release dvd’s as often, since this is an artist owned business..I wonder how much money it takes to get the rights to the movies they riff? And that’s just part of it.Bet it’s not cheap..

Does anyone know why mills entertainment cancelled the CT show in schenectady NY?

  18. Stressfactor says:

    @ bla421

Up on his Twitter feed J Elvis says:

“1 of 2) Correction: It wasn’t @atProctors that cancelled our show in Schenectady but rather a producer bringing us into that venue.”

Make of that what you will.

He apologizes to the ticket holders as well.

  19. bla421 says:

That makes me wonder why they would do business with an unreliable producer.

I’m bringing the cover of the Clowns in the Sky CD to be signed. Mike’s on the cover, but all of them (with the possible exception of J. Elvis) contributed to the seasons on that CD.
