One of the best fan stories I’ve ever read. Very touching too. A great tribute to Gypsy. :)

I always loved the Joel/Gypsy dynamic. In general, while I adore both Joel and Mike….there is something about the Joel as the Dad, the bots as the kids thing that was truly special. It gave the show an inherent sweetness. In retrospect, it was really smart to have Mike interact with them differently. It just wouldn’t have felt right for him to assume the same kind of role. Man, I love MST3K.
