I was a little disappointed with the fan-scribed Batman and Robin. But this should be good.

Al does very funny commentaries according to Amazon.com reviews, and Mike will set a good tempo.

A little bit of MST3K conceptual continuity in Al and Mike pairing up: Al originally planned for Joel to be in his film, UHF. Luckily for us, Joel had others plans. This is a great team-up, though. Weird Al and MST3K have been favorites of mine since I was a child. Now if only Mike could get Dr. Demento, i’d be all set…

Mike needs to try and get some Whose Line? alumns on Rifftracks with him, like Ryan Stiles, Wayne Brady, or Greg Proops.

Anybody know why there’s no sample on Plan 9? I like to get a feel for the comedy and movie…but I may have to get it without.

This is bizarre and awesome. Anyone who’s heard his commentary on the UHF DVD knows that Weird Al is actually strangely appropriate for this. I cannot wait.

Man, the UHF commentary had me almost asphyxiating from laughter at points. Al and Michael Richards just yattering… This I must get.

And to say something else that won’t be popular… but there’s another reason I’m glad Joel didn’t do UHF. Anthony Geary was PERFECT. I just can’t see Joel in that role.

Dang! I need to begin buying Rifftrax. This looks like a good one to start with. The clip of B&R was hilarious. I can’t believe some didn’t like it. Are you just huge Batman fans? I was the same with the Lord of the Rings ones. I won’t be bothering with those.

Oh, meant to add that they should get Weird Al out of the nut house more often to do these. I’d forgotten how great he was. Just a really great time on this one.
