RIP Mojo Nixon

Neill Kirby McMillan Jr., known to his fans as eclectic rocker Mojo Nixon, died Feb. 7 aboard a cruise ship hosting the Outlaw Country Cruise. He was 66.

Best known for comedic tunes like “Elvis Is Everywhere” and “Don Henley Must Die,” MSTies will recall that he was mentioned in host segments in episodes 311- IT CONQUERED THE WORLD and 1013- DIABOLIK.

Rolling Stone has more.

Thanks to Tim for the heads up.

  1. For better or worse, he’s actually BEST known for his cameo in the 90’s “Super Mario Bros.” movie:

  2. Mr. E says:

I saw Mojo live a couple of times. They were great shows! I wonder what Skid Roper is doing these days. He released a couple of pretty good albums and dropped off the map.
