Looks goofy!
Oh, so not Gene Autry’s serial. That one needs to be tackled someday, especially since The Undersea Kingdom seems to have ripped off as much of it as they did Flash Gordon.
‘Hey, waitasecond, these two “children” didn’t even cry when their dad died!’
‘So, an entire ancient civilization is graphically obliterated, but Radioland Ranch never changes hands! Yee-ha!’
‘Yeah, almost like a metaphor for…something…oh well, have fun with the make-believe apocalypse, kids!’
Ah, but I see this movie was inspired by said serial, and explicitly references it at the end. Well played Fred Olen Ray.
