There is a known scam going about which is still drawing people in. Someone I know just paid £35 for a book on a particular subject, published by Alphascript Publishing.
Within the first few pages among copyright information was a small easily missed disclaimer ‘all source material drawn from articles on wikipedia’.
These muppets are literally (badly) gathering info from Wikipedia, calling themselves ‘editors’ and selling the books via Amazon and other outlets for a huge price.
Be aware and avoid at all costs. Thieving gits.

Posted by , on November 22nd, 2009 Once again this year I was fortunate enough to attend the sound check for the live show. When I arrived, the CT crew had already done a readthrough of the script back in the green room and were now taking a break. All except for Josh and Dave (Gruber) Allen, that is, who were overseeing the equipment setup on the stage. At around 5:00 p.m. the rest of the group arrived and the check began.
As you’re probably aware, the movie that was to be riffed this evening was WAR OF THE INSECTS. This was actually an alternate title and the film still retained its original title card of GENOCIDE. Both titles make sense (sort of) after you watch the picture.
Rather than write a lengthy report, I’ll just let the captions for the following pictures tell the night’s story. But there was one bit of good news worth noting: even with this down economy, the attendance for this year’s show beat last year’s…by one ticket. Good job, CT and Family Arena!

This week’s episode “Agent for H.A.R.M.” reminded me of the several secret agent films (like Secret Agent Super Dragon, Double 007, Danger! Death Ray) the Brains have riffed on the show and if you haven’t done it already I think it would be a great weekend topic to rate the best/worst of those particular films.
Several people suggested this in the comments last week, as well. Sounds good! We could also discuss what does and doesn’t count as a secret agent/spy movie. We’d all include 504- SECRET AGENT SUPER DRAGON, 508- OPERATION DOUBLE 007, 620- DANGER! DEATH RAY and
815- AGENT FOR H.A.R.M., but for the KTMA-minded there’s K18- THE MILLION EYES OF SU-MURU. Heck, 314- MIGHTY JACK kinda qualifies. And isn’t there a spy agency in 420- THE HUMAN DUPLICATORS? And of course there’s the George Lazenby appearance in the second half of 324- MASTER NINJA II.
As for favorites, I lean toward 620- DANGER! DEATH RAY. It’s like somebody took all the elements you’d expect in a super secret double-naught spy movie, threw them up in the air and just assembled them in what ever order they came down.
