Our buddy Jerry Beck has posted this video of a performance of “Cartoon Dump” last year, featuring Joel Hodgson puppeteering “Dumpster Diver Dan.” Great stuff.

Tell us about your first experience of “MST3K: The Movie.” I was living in the Philadelphia area on April 19, 1996. I took the day off from work and my buddy Geoff went to the very first showing at the one theater in town where it was showing. A large line formed behind us, and by the time the movie started the place was almost completely full. The crowd loved it, laughing uproariously throughout, and applauding at the end. Did you see it the first weekend? On some weekend after that? Or was your first experience via VHS or DVD? Tell! 
This is extremely short notice, but if you happen to be in the L.A. area tonight you might want to drop by the Fake Gallery at 4319 Melrose Ave. to catch The Fake Show. The show will be co-hosted by Frank and will feature an appearance by Josh.  Janet Varney and Cole Stratton’s last RiffTrax was their terrific riff of “Dirty Dancing.” As I said on the RiffTrax forum at the time, “it was genuinely and consistently funny, but what I really liked about it was they did not try to be Mike-Kevin-Bill. They courageously established their own riffing style, committed to the bits and established their own riffing personas. Bravo!” I’ve been looking forward to this one. Speaking of the movie, and of RottenTomatoes.com, that site recently rounded up a list of the top movie robots, and check out who came in at #11!
