Joel Interviewed on a Podcast

Jason Mallory of Scene Missing Magazine does a phoner with Joel ahead of his appearances in Atlanta next weekend with riffing group Cineprov (who are also interviewed in this podcast). The interview starts a little past the 9:00 mark, picks up again around the 27:30 mark and once more about the 46:00 minute mark, and don’t miss the little stinger at the end.

Weekend Discussion Thread: Favorite “Star Trek” References

Alert reader Kenneth suggests:

I noticed that two weeks ago when you did the “Favorite Star Wars References” weekend discussion, it didn’t get that many comments. I read one of the comments from a “ck” that read: “I’d think there were more Star Trek then Star Wars references. Including the disturbing Mike impression of Janeway. (That one hurt a whole lot).”
And I got to thinking, there ARE a lot of Trek references in the show. I think it would make a pretty good weekend discussion topic.

Why not?

I think my fave is Crow’s: “Room-to-room transport! [As Spock.] Very difficult, captain!”

What’s yours?

Interviews with Joel and Trace

Doug Wortel of speakercreatures.com interviews Joel. He mostly covers topics that have been addressed before, but it’s a nice read anyway.

Frank Thompson of TheCommentaryTrack.com has Trace as his guest on his podcast. They talk movies, a little MST3K, his post-MST3K career, Cinematic Titanic and more.

Weekend Discussion Thread: Podcast/Radio Guests/Hosts

Alert reader Ryan aka cityofvoltz suggestsL

Who would you want to co-host your podcast — or who would you want as a guest on your podcast?

Similarly, Who would you want on your radio morning show (as co-hosts), and what would you name said radio show?

So, you can answer either one or both of the podcast questions and/or the radio question.

Me, I think the perfect morning radio co-hosts would be the peeping privates from “Attack of the the Eye Creatures. And that’s what they’d be called: The Peeping Privates.

What’s your choice?
