We’re not sure why, but Amazon has halted sales of the “MST3K vs. Gamera” DVD set and is currently listing it as “under review.” We’re working to find out what the situation is. In the meantime, the set is still available from Shout! Factory at this link.
Update: As some people have guessed, the review notice is due to one or more persons either receiving damaged merchandise or placing some other complaint. Shout! is working to resolve the situation with Amazon. Update Again: The situation has been resolved and Amazon is once again selling the set at this link. A Blip.tv show called “Radio Dead Air” interviewed Mike.
I’m not sure what channel this is, or what town the news show is in, but they did a short news item about RiffTrax. And on their web site, they posted a long video interview with Mike. Here it is in two parts. And on Saturday night, Josh co-hosted an internet radio show called “The Crystal Telephone with Rotary Rachel.” The show is mostly music and an interview with actor/musician Michael Des Barres takes up most of the non-music time, but there’s a bit of Cinematic Titanic talk with Josh. Here’s hour one. Here’s hour two. Here’s hour three. Alert commenter “DiskoJoe” suggests:
Well, Groucho Marx would be the obvious choice. I’d also love to have any or all of the members of Firesign Theatre in the seats. Who would you pick? Our pals at the MST3k.com site mention — sort of in passing — that two new single titles are coming from Shout! Factory, episode 908- THE TOUCH OF SATAN and 518- THE ATOMIC BRAIN. And they’re right! They should be available Oct. 16.
Update: Shout officials confirm that “Atomic Brain” will DEFINITELY have a stinger, unlike the Rhino release. |
