My thoughts: It’s always touch-and-go when you riff something that claims to be a comedy, whether it’s a successful comedy or not–and I don’t think LSOH is funny at ALL. But I can see how, if you actually think parts of this movie are “hilarious,” as Mavis does, you could come to the conclusion the he comes to.

Paul Mavis at DVD Talk, who professes to LIKE “Little Shop of Horrors,” isn’t pleased with the RiffTrax DVD. That’s why there’s chocolate and vanilla I suppose.
The Fantasci sci-fi convention will be showing “Mystery Science Theater 3000: The Movie” at 8:00 p.m. on June 6 at the Chesapeake Central Library, 298 Cedar Road, in Chesapeake, VA. The convention and movie showing are free and open to the public. Look for more details to be posted on the library’s Web site, as well as on librarian Jim Blanton’s blog.

Cinematic Titanic has announced the next leg of the current Cinematic Titanic tour. • The first stop is Atlanta, at the Alliance Theater of the Woodruff Arts Center, 1280 Peachtree Street NE. Mary Jo has agreed to do a small role in an independent movie called “Cherry Bomb,” set to begin filming in a few months. The movie’s writer, Garrett Hargrove, says the movie tells the tale of an exotic dancer (stage name Cherry Bomb) who seeks revenge on the men who assaulted her and got away with it.
