Trivia: STINGRAY was one of several television series produced in England by the husband and wife team of GERRY and SYLVIA ANDERSON, who also used their Supermarionation special effects and puppets in Supercar; Fireball XL-5, Thunderbirds, and Captain Scarlet, episodes of which were shown in episode K02-REVENGE OF THE MYSTERONS. (They both also produced the live-actor TV series, Space: 1999, two episodes of which were condensed into K10-COSMIC PRINCESS).

The Plot for Episode 4:
"HOSTAGES OF THE DEEP"
The evil Gadus kidnaps Admiral Carson and his wife from their island home. The admiral manages to send a secret signal for help, so the Stingray crew is sent to rescue them.

The Plot for Episode 27: "DEEP HEAT"
Troy and Phones explore the bottom of an active volcano, where a robot probe had disappeared and where two survivors await them, plotting to hijack Stingray.

The Plot for Episode 6: "THE BIG GUN"
Stingray is attacked by and then destroys an underwater gunship of unknown origin. Following another gunship to the ocean's depths, the crew find the source of the hostility, the city of Solarstar.

The Plot for Episode 11: "EMERGENCY MARINEVILLE"
Marineville is attacked by missiles! The Stingray crew find the attack source on yet another volcanic island, but are captured by the aliens, still determined to destroy Marineville.
